Who we are?
Hello! My name is Urszula Szuleta and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to teach you Polish as a Second Language! I was born and raised in Poland, where I also grew up and completed my education.
In 2004 I graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with a Master of Arts degree, majoring in Education. I continued my studies, and in 2011 I earned a postgraduate degree in Polish as a Second Language from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
I started teaching Polish Language in Chicago in 2006, then
from 2015 in Houston. Currently I’m Adjunct Professor of Elementary Polish Language at St.Thomas University in Houston.
In 2019 I started my own language school: Polish Academy. In my 16 years of experience teaching Polish, I have continually worked on improving my qualifications by participating in conferences, workshops, and additional courses that perfected my knowledge and approach to teaching.
Being a native Pole, I love my country, its rich culture and traditions, and I’m so happy to have the opportunity to share all that with you. I am excited to have you in my class and join you on this fascinating journey of learning Polish.
